Biography
RADIO
I've worked in radio for 25 years, first as a journalist at BBC Radio Derby. Moving to BBC Radio Nottingham in 2003, I later won a Sony Radio Academy Gold for my daily morning show, and was crowned best Speech Broadcaster. I went on to present dozens of breakfast shows on BBC 5 Live, covering the Paralympics and also sitting in for the political broadcaster Stephen Nolan. I have presented many faith based shows on Radio 2 like Good Morning Sunday, Easter Glory and The Sunday Hour.
I am a regular Daily Service on Radio 4.
I present the morning show on BBC Radio Lincolnshire, and appear on BBC Radio 2's Pause For Thought
TELEVISION
After presenting BBC East Midlands Today bulletins in the noughties, I returned to TV when I helped launch a brand new station - Notts TV. I produced and presented hundreds of hours of live TV news and chat shows, and remain the host of the Notts TV Debate. I am also a news film maker, and has made several features for BBC One's Inside Out
EVENTS
I'm a confident and sparky host of live events. I bring humour to awards ceremonies, prize givings and fund raisers and I'm comfortable in front of big audiences. I loved being on stage the Splendour Festival, interviewing boxer Carl Froch in front of a crowd of 20,000.
COACHING
I work as a BBC mentor to other radio presenters, and can also offer coaching in presentation and communication. I have worked for clients such as BBC Radio, Nottingham Trent University and The Actors Workshop.

I have a husband and daughter and recently took up windsurfing.
I plays seven musical instruments, with piano, drums and bass guitar seeing the most action.
I sing too.
I ride motorbikes, although since becoming a parent my wings have been clipped a little! I made the news headlines in 2009 with a major crash in Nottingham. A driver made an illegal turn causing an accident. I suffered a broken nose, cheekbone, eye socket and her nose was partially severed. After surgery I have made a full recovery.
I can snowboard and have done a fair amount of sea fishing. Mostly from the shores of North Cornwall where I love to spend as much spare time as I can.
